USDAA Gamblers course, PBH, Sept. 3, 2006.
In gamblers, you make
up a course to run until a buzzer sounds, after which you
have to send your dog through a series of pre-determined obstacles
while staying on the opposite side of a line on the ground. We did fine
until lucy got to the contact (the yellow part) of the A-Frame--the dog
has to at least touch it with a toenail. Did she or didn't she? I
thought not (and the audience groan audible on the tape indicates that
someone else agreed), plus th judge blew his whistle which was his
signal for a missed gamble. However, when the scores came out I was
credited with a qualifying run. So maybe we got it after all ...
