my sculpture prof used to live in a house named
nick's. (it used to be a boarding house and the marble name "nick's" was still over the door.) he named his
dog nick so he could claim that he lived in the doghouse. haha!
Albert was a very keen DIYer and we still use all the fitted cupboards he made but he was rather too fond of
asbestos sheeting which he used for pelmets and to line the walls of the kitchen and the outside loo.! Also
the old shed we had dismantled was nearly all asbestos so glad to see the back of that!

Yes, it was a shock for us too when we found it but thankfully mostly all gone now except for the outside loo which is painted over.
